Course deals
with the implementation of cavity
pressure, and what the plastic
pressures are that we see in the
injection mold. How to understand,
and then to utilize these pressures,
in the control of our molding
process to achieve a faster cycle
time, lower part weight, less scrap,
and ultimately a more robust and
repeatable process
“Floor Time required”
- Learn documentation of
current process. We must know
where we are before we can know
where we are going.
- Students learn how to
systematically approach a
problem, an use scientific
problem solving mythologies to
ultimately fix the problem, but
to also optimize the process.
- Understand the importance
of proper hook-up to the RJG
unit from the molding machine.
- Learn how to utilize
cavity pressure in control of
the injection molding process.
- Learn to dial in a
Decouple 2 molding process that
simulates a Decouple 3 molding
process to obtain a peak post
gate transfer cavity pressure.
- Students will setup a
Decouple 3 molding process
controlling from the plastics
point of view.
- Joining a repeatable
process with automated part
containment and auto packaging
to achieve a total lights out
operation.
- Students learn about
alarm setting to segregate
suspect product.
