This class covers the common molding problems that the
injection molder encounters every day such as: Burns, Short Shots, Weld lines, etc. The students will gain an understanding of how these problems arise as well as how to use corrective action to resolve the problem.

  • Understanding venting with the association of burn marks and gassing in the mold.
 
 
  • Weld lines and meld lines achieve good acceptable results with machine adjustments.
 
 
  • Understanding the stresses associated with the molding process and the development of cracks, sinks, voids, and dimensional issues.
 
 
  • Simple solutions for common molding problems encountered every day in a molding facility.
 
 
  • Rib design and how to solve rib problems associated with polymer flow.
